Saying Goodbye to My 20s....

Tomorrow is my last day in my 20s... I feel like I have a great workout routine going right now... with the #stopandgivemethirty challenge I will be at 30 days tomorrow also! I have been getting in 4-5 weights days a week with Jaime Eason's 12 Week Plan and can feel myself getting stronger every workout and I am LOVING that, that runners high I was searching for, I have found a similar thing in weight lifting... I used to struggle to do bicep curls with 8lb dumbbells and my last bicep day I did 3 different bicep exercises with 15lbs for each arm and afterwards decided next workout I need to up my weight again!!! The other 2-3 days a week I have been trying to either be active in some way or get in cardio without weights.... I say "cardio without weights" because during my weight lifting sessions I am getting cardio FROM lifting weights... I just keep my tempo and don't rest and my HR stays up most of the time... its two birds with one stone and I love it! Since starting the challenge February 10th I have burned over 14,500 calories!!!!!!!

The area I haven't nailed down, but am always improving in is my diet, what I eat... and I have been toying with the Whole 30 Challenge for the first 30s days that I am 30 and I have decided to do it. It wont be easy, but I can do it! I think its just what I need to jump start my eating again to make it more on point! I have been eating right 80-85% of the time, but that's not enough, I need to see what results I can get eating right 100% of the time while doing this program with weights I think my results will be amazing!!!!

Here's to turning 30- I have decided its going to be an amazing decade! My healthiest yet!!!!

Life Lately

This is my last week as a 20 something and its been crazy... time is flying by.

I have finished the first two weeks of Jaime Eason's Live Fit 12 week program. I didn't take my measurements at the start, but I am down 1lb and I feel stronger and leaner... I NEED to take a minute to take my measurements tonight! I do have measurements from earlier and pictures, but still would like something more recent as a good before!

I have been killing it for the #stopandgivemethirty and as long as I don't miss a workout this week and finish strong Friday I will hit my 30 days! About a week later than the rest of the ladies, but I will do it - just in time for my 30th birthday on Saturday!!!!

You may or may not have noticed I changed my privacy settings on here... I will explain that in more detail at a later date, but I cant talk about it right now. In the meantime you have to have a blog to read mine... it will all make sense when I can explain, but I just didn't want it all out there for anyone to read anymore. I googled my name and found out way too much information about myself for my comfort level. We are a generation of over sharing, but I need limits.

My eating has been really on point, even this weekend.... being at our property, I bought groceries and tried to keep it healthy - carbs were a little higher than I would like, but at least it wasn't food out.

A snapshot from lunch Friday - double day workout and a salad to finish off a winning lunch!

I find out about my work bonus today and will get it Friday, if I get one.... I am getting granite countertops! I have been wanting them since I bought the house 4.5 years ago... well its time! I don't want that pattern that EVERYONE has, because I like to be different... I saw this pattern online and kinda like it... my backsplash is brown tile, so I need to keep it in the neutral zone, but am looking for ideas/suggestions if you have any, but so far this is my favorite!

Like I said earlier we spent time at our place this weekend hiking around and cutting more cedar to help our oaks survive the drought... it was an active weekend and we got to meet the new baby cow! he is beyond adorable and I am in love! I am so glad we leased the place for cattle 1. ag exemption, 2. they are too cute!!!!! 3. they eat the grass, which actually is bringing up more new growth and I like it

Not sure if you have heard this song or not, but its my new FAV - I am loving it!!!! You must check it out... and the music video is required to truly appreciate it!

Update on #stopandgivemethirty

Earlier this week the hubs surprised me with my birthday present... a week early! Its my first rifle!! I have been using his... so we finally got one just for me... I LOVE it! Winchester 7mm08 with wood stock... its PERFECT! I cant wait to go shoot it! We are headed to the property this weekend so I should have a good chance to!

I was so sore from NINE straight days of working out - no rest that yesterday I took a rest day! It was nice... and my muscles are thankful because yesterday I was hobbling around like a fool:

Update on my #stopandgivemethirty challenge, since I had a couple missed days, I can still finish the challenge by the time I turn 30 if I workout every day until next Friday... I can do eight days, I just finished a nine day streak!

Things are beyond crazy right now, hence the lack of posting lately, but I am hoping to have a lot of good news in the next month!!!! In the meantime I am buckling down at work and getting after it. Reviews are Monday and I hope they recognize all the hard work I have done the past year!

My working out has been on point, my eating has been on point 90% of the time. I am down 1lb this week.... I will take it.

Jaime Eason's 12 Week Live Fit Workout Plan

I know I have been quiet lately, but to say things have been busy is an understatement... that does not mean I have been missing my workouts... on the contrary I have been KILLING it at the gym... today will be my 9th workout day in a ROW! I am pretty sure its my longest streak to date! Tomorrow is the official end of the #stopandgivemethirty challenge, however I don't hit my 30 until the 20th if I don't skip another day - so my plan is to finish by my 30th birthday (the 22nd), I may finish late, but I will finish!!!!

I got in 12 days of working out in January, 16 in February, and am set to get in a new record for March - for the year and most likely most ever in one month if I keep it up. I am LOVING my new workout routine: Jaime Eason's Live Fit Trainer I love that its challenging and I love that its FREE!!

This past weekend my sister came into town and we had a girls weekend - the hubs was out of town - it was fun and I enjoyed myself... everyone we met asked if we were twins and I told them no, who do you think is older and they always picked my 22 year old sister... I ate that up with a spoon... EVERY single time! I am about to turn 30, I love that I look younger!

Sunday afternoon I spent a lot of time snuggling in bed with my babies because lets face it, I am NOT in fact still 22, and going out dancing all night with my sister was fun, but that coupled with the time change really messed me up... I was worn out!

Plus, how can you not snuggle with these cuties? They are adorable I know... :)

My workout from yesterday, 40 minutes of weight lifting with a 400 calorie burn, that's about what I am averaging, 10 cals/min... and LOVING it! I usually warm up on the bike for 5-10 minutes and then hit the weights and don't stop... and if I have time when I finish then I do more cardio at the end (kickboxing, mountain climbers, the rope, etc... ) Yesterday was day 1 of week 2, I have my starting weight and body fat % but need to take measurements before I get too far into this thing!

My #stopandgivemethirty challenge calendar update... I am kicking butt and taking names now!
