Thursday night was a night of relaxing and de-stressing from a HORRIBLE week at work... My love took me to Tommy Bahamas... and we had a blast, I got the crab stuffed shrimp and he got the ribs
We also each drank a few of these boys.... their mojitos are AMAZING!!! ...and then I entered them into my fitness pal, didnt realize how bad they were for you, but I had a rough week, so I needed them! :)
Then we went to Academy to see if we could get some ammo/my gun I want... they didnt have my gun, or much of the ammo we were looking for, but I did find this...
A perfectly adorable gift for my future niece!!!! :)
Friday morning we took the girls on a walk/run around the neighborhood- I love family outings... and the girls had a blast, we went to the field across from my neighborhood and they got to run around without leashes and of course Belle found water and got to act like a pig in slop, it was a good time for all involved, then they got baths and we finished packing up all the Christmas decorations and dusted and cleaned a bit and then my brother came in to visit so we went to the range so he could learn to shoot the rifle, we are taking him hunting to get an axis this spring!
His first two shots were both bulls-eyes, I think he will be okay!
His damage, he is good with a rifle!!!
Saturday was my first official MS150 training ride- it had 750 participating... and I would say it was a success, first ride with hills... so I did the shortest route, 12 miles, the other options were 25, 33, and 45... I figured I should take it easy on the first hill ride... and about 4 miles in I was glad I did 12, those hills were KILLER!!! The hubs came out to be my cheerleader/support:
This is me crossing the non-labeled finish line.... FIRST!!!!!! Thats right... I was THE first person to make it back... there were two rest stops and since it was only 12 miles and the stops on the actual ride are 10/15 miles apart I wanted to skip the rest stops and make the whole distance without stopping, but I did NOT think I would be FIRST back... I WON, I have NEVER won a sporting/fitness event before, I was so pumped and the hubs was too, he was so proud of me! He even got a video of me coming in... I will figure out how to post that soon!
My runkeeper app showing the details of my ride, I usually bike 17mph, thats how much those hills slowed me down!!!
Yesterday was the 20 year anniversary of my daddy's going to heaven... and our pastor is on a series about the end of times right now and talked about the second coming... as much as I miss him... I know he is in a better place and that he is watching me and keeping me safe, and the hubs was great yesterday- its nice to have someone to keep you company, share in your pain, support you, and comfort you when you are sad... I wish my dad could have met him... I know he will one day, and I know they will get along great!
