Since we had a half day, I went home at lunch, instead of working out in Kat's class Tuesday... I just really wasnt up for it, I was more up for starting my break! So I met my husband at his office, he was just moved to a new office, so it was nice to check it out... then came home and watched some DVR and relaxed. After watching Extreme Makeover Weight Loss Edition, and the man who was overweight, just under 500lbs, lost 170lbs and then ran an olympic triathalon... so I decided to go running. I was going to do the loop in my neighborhood twice, which would have been a 5k. But, it was cloudy and looked like the sky was about to open up, so I did it once then mowed the lawn, it started raining and thundering, so I had to quit half way through the back, but I got the front... and ended up finishing the back yesterday.

I started studying for the PE... I also downloaded "My So Called Life As A Proverbs 31 Wife" on my kindle and started reading it yesterday as well. Its good. Its about a modern twist on Proverbs 31- the laundry list of things that great wives do- and no one can really achieve!

Proverbs 31:10-31

[b]A wife of noble character who can find?
She is worth far more than rubies.
11 Her husband has full confidence in her
and lacks nothing of value.
12 She brings him good, not harm,
all the days of her life.
13 She selects wool and flax
and works with eager hands.
14 She is like the merchant ships,
bringing her food from afar.
15 She gets up while it is still night;
she provides food for her family
and portions for her female servants.
16 She considers a field and buys it;
out of her earnings she plants a vineyard.
17 She sets about her work vigorously;
her arms are strong for her tasks.
18 She sees that her trading is profitable,
and her lamp does not go out at night.
19 In her hand she holds the distaff
and grasps the spindle with her fingers.
20 She opens her arms to the poor
and extends her hands to the needy.
21 When it snows, she has no fear for her household;
for all of them are clothed in scarlet.
22 She makes coverings for her bed;
she is clothed in fine linen and purple.
23 Her husband is respected at the city gate,
where he takes his seat among the elders of the land.
24 She makes linen garments and sells them,
and supplies the merchants with sashes.
25 She is clothed with strength and dignity;
she can laugh at the days to come.
26 She speaks with wisdom,
and faithful instruction is on her tongue.
27 She watches over the affairs of her household
and does not eat the bread of idleness.
28 Her children arise and call her blessed;
her husband also, and he praises her:
29 “Many women do noble things,
but you surpass them all.”
30 Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting;
but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised.
31 Honor her for all that her hands have done,
and let her works bring her praise at the city gate.

She is also talking about doing "The Love Dare" without her husband knowing she is... its pretty good book, I am half way through it... and I am anything but a Prov 31 wife, my husband cooks pretty much every meal, he helps me clean our house, and all... and we both work super long hours at work.

Back to the 4th of July....

we got snowcones, mine was sugar free though, and then we got fireworks, and watched Band of Brothers for a while yesterday too.... when we werent studying/working... he was working, I was studying for the PE. Then we went to Walmart because my calves were killing me, 4 miles in two days and my calves were on fire... I was in a lot of pain, and I have read a few other blogs of runners who use compression socks, and they are expensive, so they have the kind for old people at Walmart that you can try to see if you like them before you make the plunge on expensive ones- I got them and wore them for about two hours and they felt better... I am a fan.

We did our fireworks yesterday evening, along with alot of our neighbors, and then didnt sleep well last night, so around 3am, I decided I would take off work today, since I have off tomorrow for going to BR for Michelle's wedding, I figured taking off today would make a super long weekend and I could get some R&R. Jake still had work today, but I get to at least rest and relax and watch Grey's and or DVR all day. I may watch the Pacific too, Jake says its a good show and I liked Band Of Brothers, so I may check it out too, or organize my office... I have problems not being productive, so we will see how it goes!
