Hill country weekend was a success!

I took off work Thursday and Friday was my 9/80 so we were able to make a nice weekend out of it.

Thursday morning got in my Jillian workout before leaving… we drove to two wineries on the way to our B&B just outside of Llano. Bought 2 bottles of wine at each winery, so at total of 4 after day 1 of wineries. Our B&B is gorgeous and right on the Llano River!!! So nice!

So nice in fact that Friday morning the hubs got up with me and we walked around a bit exploring- got in 2 miles and spotted a couple deer while doing so and heard a deer bark- didn’t even know they did it, but they do! After breakfast- yummy homemade blueberry pancakes – we headed towards Fredericksburg and stopped to hike Enchanted Rock- it was pretty and nice weather and a good hike up, so another good low intensity workout for the day! Then we went to Hondo’s in town for lunch- I got the grilled chicken sandwich and we split sweet potato fries. We walked the streets and saw our favorite shops and then headed to the wineries- we hit up our two favs- Grape Creek and Pedernales- got 5 bottles at one and 6 at the other (1 is for a coworker- so technically only 10, not 11 bottles for the day). Then we went back to town and talked to two different realtors about property around town and what we could afford and other things like that. We finished with dinner at Crossroads- a yummy steakhouse- I got the filet and baked potato and a mojito J Then we went over to Oktoberfest and checked that out for a bit- we didn’t even know it would be going on this weekend so we kind of lucked into it!

should have taken a picture of the rock with my phone too- have those on the nice camera

we ate on the patio at lunch- LOVING the weather

Saturday morning I got up and did RI30 in the parking lot of the B&B- didn’t want to wake the hubs or other guests- so I looked silly, but I got it done! Breakfast was an egg/ham frittata that was yummy and we headed to Brady to meet with another realtor who had some nice pieces of property available in that area. He had printed about half a dozen or so properties- some way out of our price range- all realtors do that and I don’t know why… but we went and visited 3- one was way to open so it was out because not good for hunting- the other was nice, but more than we want to spend and one was perfect… we LOVED it!!! It’s a great price and gorgeous… now we just have to do some due diligence to make sure we know what we are getting into, but we may be buying land this year! J VERY excited about that…. So that took all morning and we got back to Llano around 3 and decided to go back to F-burg to get pie- there is an amazing pie shop- we went Friday after lunch- I got peach pie and Jake got choc pecan pie… it’s the best homemade pie ever, well so much so that by the time we got to town- she had a sign on the door that she was sold out L boo Oktoberfest people eating all the pie… so we had dinner and watched the end of the LSU game- need to watch the first half tonight when I get home from work… very sad about my Tiger’s loss- but I did call it, we are playing like crap!!! Walked around town with a  glass of wine from Grape Creek’s main street store and then headed back to the B&B.

Sunday morning I got up and ran the route we walked Friday- saw about 8 deer and one barked at me a couple of times!?!? CRAZY! Then went back and packed up the room- had breakfast- breakfast burritos and then hit the road. We went to San Marcos and went by Cabella’s and then Cracker Barrel for lunch and shopping at the outlet mall- NY&Company, Banana, and Ann Taylor- my 3 favs! Got a dress at Banana, some cut tops and a cardigan and NYC, and a cardigan at Ann Taylor. We made it home around 6:15 and caught up with our kitty and watched a little tv before heading to bed.

Tonight we plan to work on our wedding photo album! Hopefully that finally happens- its just been over 5 months since we got married… today is actually the one year anniversary of the day he proposed! It was at last year’s Florida game and had a MUCH better result!

Planning to run at lunch and do RI30 week two tonight!
